It is not to be missed: \"I’m Gonna Sit at the Welcome Table” We live in a diversity-rich society that provides both great opportunities and deep challenges for our personal and community growth and well-being. As we all know, our present world often creates an atmosphere of questioning or overwhelmed living that makes it hard to negotiate our busy lives feeling hope and joy. Longtime friends Rabbi Jonathan Kligler and musician/educator Reggie Harris will lead this evening of songs, stories and conversation to celebrate the powerful lessons and the legacy that is embodied in that marvelous title phrase that comes from the Modern Civil Rights movement. We all have a place at the table of humanity. So come and bring your voices, as we explore the possibilities of living together in a new way. Rabbi Jonathan Kligler has been the spiritual leader of the Woodstock Jewish Congregation since 1988. He and musician/educator Reggie Harris met on the basketball court almost 30 years ago, and they have been playing, singing and figuring things out together ever since. With Kim and Reggie Harris, Rabbi Jonathan recorded the CD “Let My People Go: A Jewish and African American Celebration of Freedom.\" Check out the websites of Reggie Harris, http://www.kimandreggie.com/ and Rabbi Jonathan, http://rabbijonathankligler.com/.
