Adult Forum: The New Jim Crow

Saint George\'s Absalom Jones Committee on Black History & Culture will present an adult forum on the bestselling book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. This book, by Michelle Alexander, explores how the war on drugs has become a system of racial control comparable to Jim Crow laws and slavery. Warren R. Thompson, Jr., MSW, will join us in what is sure to be a thought-provoking and enlightening discussion. Mr. Thompson serves as Program Director of Community Corrections for Volunteers of America-Northern NJ.
