8th Annual New Year's Eve Celebration

It is never too early (or late) to make plans for a fun family New Year\'s Eve! Our Dharma for Kids Teachers are organizing a short 10 minute children\'s play based on the story of Green Tara. This will be performed during our New Year\'s Eve celebration on December 31st. It is tradition to bring in the new year with Green Tara, our Buddha Mother who helps us by destroying all obstacles. The play has both speaking and non-speaking roles. All children between 5-11 years old are ideal participants. We will be practicing the play during our regular Dharma for Kids classes on December 1st and 15th from 1:45 to 3pm, in addition to making costumes and props. This promises to be a fun activity for all. Please note: all children are welcome to participate on New Year\'s Eve, even if they have not attended the practices. More information about the New Year\'s Eve Celebration: The evening starts at 7pm. There will be a teaching for adults given by Kadam Peter and a Dharma for Kids class held at the same time in a separate room. After the teaching, the children will perform the play followed by a Potluck dinner for all.
