A family in Far Hills is looking for a weekend nanny for their 3-year-old daughter and 2-months-old son. The schedule may vary from weekend to weekend but will typically be from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday and 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday. Flexibility is required.

Duties include:
Creating a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children. Creating and maintaining consistent daily routines of meals/bottles, activities, and naps. Changing diapers. Reading to the children. Planning stimulating activities such as outdoor play, playdates, and special outings to the park, zoo, etc. Cleaning up after the children, including organizing and maintaining their play areas and bedrooms. Maintaining a tidy kitchen by loading and unloading the dishwasher and emptying the trash and recycling. Doing the children’s laundry. No pet care is required.

Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is caring, clean, energetic, and very focused. They are emotionally intelligent and take direction and feedback well. Looking for someone who pays close attention to detail. The ideal nanny has excellent communication skills, extensive experience with newborns, and is confident in their ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently. Looking for someone who loves playing outdoors, reading, doing crafts with children, and helping them reach their developmental milestones. Nanny must be skilled at helping children behave well without resorting to yelling or punishing. Someone with no other employment and very few distractions during off hours who can focus on this family is preferred.

About the children:
This 3-year-old is active, smart, intuitive, and sensitive. She loves animals and rides horses with Mom. She goes to gymnastics during the week and enjoys visiting local farms and playgrounds. She also loves playdates, reading, and story time at the library. She can communicate clearly and has a large vocabulary. She is witty, outgoing, and keeps you on your toes. This sweet newborn is just 2 months old.

About the parents:
These parents are organized, loving, and have high standards. They have an active social life and are routine-oriented. They want their children to be engaged and learning during the day. They use the Gentle Parenting approach and do not yell; however, they still enforce manners, rules, and boundaries.
