Who can teach me to weld?

I've seen this topic before, but the most recent thread is several years old so I thought I would ask again.

I want to repair the floors in my project car and it requires welding some patches in. Basic rectangular stuff I have been told, so I thought I would try to learn how to do it myself.

Is there anyone in town who is interested in teaching me how to do this? Has anyone had success with any of the nearby adult ed/ community colleges in this area? Any other advice?
