which Shoprite has the good bakery? archived

I know that Shoprite has gotten good grades here for their birthday cakes, but I seem to remember that some Shoprites make a better cake than others. So, which one should I go to for my son's cake? West Orange? Union (Liberty & Morris)? Springfield?

T.I.A.!!!!!
Union and West Orange have the actual bakery where they do the baking-I think that at Springfield they do the decorating there...I must say that the displays at Springfield are really nice...
We have enjoyed their cakes.

Livingston has a large bakery on site too. They do their own breads and cakes and desserts there.

I really like the bakery stuff from the Livingston Shop Rite! I haven't actually tried their birthday cakes, but in my opinion the cakes at livingston look better than at union. (i never went to the shoprite in west orange).

Just got a cake from the WO shoprite- very very good.

We've had wonderful cakes from the ShopRite on Morris Avenue in Union. That one is closer to us than WO or Livingston, but I gather that they are all similar. Millburn ShopRite DOESN'T have a bakery in store, so don't go there for cakes.

Livingston also has a Kosher bakery.
