Which banks (still) offer checking accounts with overdraft protection?

I have a Citibank checking account that has overdraft protection. My PNC also has overdraft protection by defaulting to a HELOC that is linked. Not sure which type of accounts they are but you should be able to look them up. Do keep in mind that Citi does not have many branches around any longer. But I do most of my banking online so it does not bother me much.

I have Bank of America and I have overdraft protection.  However, I've had it for years so I don't know if they still offer it or if my account is grandfathered.

Wells Fargo has overdraft, but it operates like a credit card account.  If you overdraw, it gets "charged" to this card and then you have to pay that off.

That is how the Bank of America one works, you pay interest on it. But since it is usually a very short term loan it is fine by me, and is much less expensive than a $35 overdraft fee.

Same with USAA. I specify which credit card to use for overdrafts. If I run short, they transfer cash from the credit card to the checking account in $100 chunks.

I'm sure most do this but you can set alerts on your account to text you when your balance falls below a predetermined amount.  That has saved my butt a few times when I forgot to check my account

Investors has checking with overdraft 

I get alerts on my Bank of America account in time to cover the overdraft.  It's only happened a couple of times, but the alert texts/emails saved me.  I don't have a savings account there, but I think that they offer overdraft protection via a paired savings account also.

BOA moves money from one account to another as OD protection, assuming you have more than one account with them.

Here's the link to M&T bank (formerly Hudson City Savings) local branch located in Millburn on Main St..  Not sure whether this is what you're looking for.  I've banked with them for years and like that they're relatively small.

Same here

I got a notice from Chase about this, but it said that overdraft will no longer be linked to a credit card, not that it was being eliminated.

That's not how it works with my Wells checking account.   They simply pay it and let me know if there is a shortage.

This is my understanding, too.
