Where to send a condolence card?

My wonderful aunt, my recently deceased father's older sister and my godmother, died yesterday.

She was a widow but she has 13 sons, 1 daughter, 33 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.  She lived on a farm in the mid-west and mailing addresses are a bit hit or miss in that neck of the woods.

Two members of my family will be flying out to attend her services but, unfortunately, I can not make it.

I have not seen my (these) first cousins in 15 years and I do not know where should I send the condolence card?  To my late aunt's last mailing address?

Yes, send it to  "The Family of...." at her address. Someone is collecting the mail I am sure.

Or send something with your family members that are flying to the services (if there is time).

Thanks!  I wanted to send it with my family (to hand deliver )but they are in Texas and I would have to Fedex the card to them tonight to get it to them in time for their flight up to Iowa.

Thank you for the tip @LibraryLady, I am glad the "To the Family of" option will work!

Do a quick google search to see if there is an obit on line (name of deceased + obituary).  If so, the obit should include information as to where messages of condolence can be sent.  If you know the name of the funeral parlor handling the arrangements and they have a website, you might have the option of either checking there for the requested address for condolences or there may be an on-line guest book you can sign in lieu of sending a card.

sorry to read that someone so important in your life has left...may you find comfort in shared happy memories, and may her name bring blessings to all whose lives she touched.
