What are these small green insects in our bathroom?

We just got home and found a bunch of them inside our bathroom  - lots on the other side of our bathroom window also so perhaps there's a gap we'll have to check out. What are these??

I don't know what they are, but same insects settled in my bathroom window last year. It seemed like hundreds hatched between the screen and window pane. I opened the window and had tons in the bathroom... then from outside I opened the screen and overnight they all left...
