Waste Management won't pick up Bagster. Who else can I call? archived
It is illegal for another company to remove a company's container.
The choices I can think of; call the manager and ask to come to your place and advise. Call Home Depot (if that's where you got it from) and ask them.
or empty it out, move the empty bagster to the front of your driveway and refill it.
QUESTION: How did it get in its present location in your driveway? Did the delivery company place the bagster and you move it to its location or did you place it there?

Another choice, you can take the stuff out of the bagster and have a junk removal company remove the stuff from your driveway IF the stuff is out of the bagster.
--while it is illegal for a second company to take the refuse out of the bagster, I doubt the junk removal company will hesitate and there will likely be no bad outcome. If there is, the fine is on the junk company and not you.

Why would it be illegal for another company to take the DEBRIS out of the bagster, if they don't take the actual container too?

anyone can of course do whatever they want with it. Dorisday was negligent in the placement of the bag on the property, Bagster has clear instructions on needed clearance, distance from street curb, etc. I am sure there is some legal liability issues with taking their vehicles onto private property, they won't or don't do that. I've seen the WM Bagster truck use their vehicle and crane system as a pulley & literally pull loaded bagsters across lawns (to clear overhead) and closer to the curb when the bags were too far deep into the driveway. But in these cases, the bags were only 30 or 40 feet deep in the drive way. The crews (usually 1 guy) are pretty creative in getting your bag in their rig if at all possible.
At this juncture I'd get a tow truck guy to hook up to the bagster and simply pull it from the place it currently is in the driveway to the front of the driveway (allowing WM to snatch it). Let's say that'll be $50? WM charges about $190?

It's not illegal since the purchaser of said container was the homeowner; do whatever the hell you want with it.
Monster, that is an interesting point...does the homeowner buy or rent the bagster? Does the bag have a DEP sticker on it?

A family member put their bagster at the rear of a long, steeply sloped and twisty driveway. When WM wouldn't pick it up they then had my hubby use the trailer hitch on his SUV to pull it forward in the driveway. WM then picked it up because the location was easily accessible.
We no longer have the truck with a trailer hitch, but maybe you could ask around if someone could do the same for you?

That might work...I considered buying one, but balked when I read the directions carefully and realized that the only place I really could put it (due to landscaping, etc) was at the foot of my driveway. So far, I'm trying to manage with bulk waste day and normal trash!
If you buy the bag and there is no DEP sticker on it, I guess you can do what you want.
Can you attach a rope to the bag and pull it forward a little with your car or someone's truck? We used to move 40 yard dumpsters that way if the driver dropped them too far back on the property.
I was imagining that with about 50 MOL posters we call haul it forward for you. I'm game.
Bagsters can be tricky - there are limitations about where/how it can be picked up. When we had ours, placement was difficult because of proximity to street and also the issue of telephone wires. We even called WM to see how strict they were about placement guidelines. Apparently, very strict, otherwise the trucks can't access the bag.
The bags can hold up to quite a bit though in our experience. Ours was packed with heavy stuff and no issues. Dragging yours to where it needs to be just might work. Good luck!

Get a rope from Home Depot. There should be a metal eye ring under your rear bumper.... you get the idea.
I have used many dumpsters but never the bag. I know they are cheap to buy, but what is the capacity and what do they charge to remove it? Is it a better deal than a 10 yard can? I was having 30 yard cans moved for $450-$550 last year.
Check the Bagster website. It is a deal if you have a small amount of stuff... a one room repair, basement cleanout, yard debris.
What company was dumb enough to spot a 30 yarder for $450. They likely lost money. What County?

actually I found someone who came and hauled everything for almost half the price of Home Depot. Just a guy with a truck. If anyone needs his number you can PM me. Thanks for your suggestions though.
