Vine Removal?

We have a big vine that has grown up one corner of our house.  It is about an inch thick and it is entwined around the guard rail to our stairs, our down spout and our first floor gutters.  I would like to have it removed but I am uncertain whether I should contact a landscaper or  tree company.  Any ideas as to which would be appropriate and/or recommendations for companies that might be able to help me?
