Two advisories for Friday 3/20

Two advisories this morning, Friday March 20th 2020.

1) Dense Fog Advisory. There are patches of dense fog this morning with visibility under 1/4 mile. Until 10am.

2) Possible thunderstorms this afternoon after 3pm. Note we are not expecting severe thunderstorms, but there could be some gusty wind.

Happy first full day of Spring!

Is that part of the storm system that's bringing snow much farther north?

There go my shorts and t-shirt happy hour plans.

It actually feels a little nice to worry just a little bit about the weather.

Yes, we are in the warm-sector of a mid-latitude cyclone that is bringing the snow to the north. It will cool down after the cold front comes through later. Could get some rumbles of thunder with that.

The winter may technically be over, but you never know...

Heynj's reference is likely being made to COVID - 19 anxiety which is on most of our minds just now.  Weather concerns seem mild in comparison.

Oh for sure! Its rightfully on everyone's back burner.

And should add -- this was not meant to minimize anyone's concerns over COVID19 vs. the weather. Any concern over the virus is obviously of greater importance. Just simply implying we may still see some snow.
