I just had a consultation with him about cell counts in my blood. I really liked him. He takes time to get to know the patient as a person. Turns out he was trained in Palliative Care* so his great "bedside manner" is not surprising. Best of luck to your friend.
* Note that Palliative Care is not just an approach for end-of-life care but for any acute or chronic illness at any stage of the illness.

A friend of mine has just been diagnosed with the above leukemia. As she understands it the suggested treatment is large doses of Vitamin A and a form of arsenic.
Is anyone familiar with this?
She'd also like to know if anyone has had experience with this Doctor who is at SMG.
