Tire Center

We used to use Ridge Tire in SO but they’re long gone. Have tried Quality Auto, and while we like them a lot, it doesn’t seem that tires are a specialty.

Has anyone used Maplewood Tire and Auto Center over on Springfield Ave near Maplecrest? Any good?

Other recommendations if not?

TIA, Jim

Mavis, on Morris Turnpike in Short Hills. Or Costco seems to have similar prices.

Or Tire rack... choose the tire and price point and have them ship it to your local service station,

Thanks Jack, but “my local service station” is what I’m looking for.

We hope to only need repair, not a new tire.

I bought tires from Maplewood Tire a few months ago and was quite pleased with the service and price. They were about $10/tire more than Costco or Tire Rack (I don't remember which) but that was very fair and I wanted to give them the business since they service my vehicle. They're straight-shooters and know there's a lot of competition out there. I recommend them highly.

eta - I looked at your post and see that you were only asking about service - not tires. They're great - honest and know what they're doing.

Excellent - thanks Cramer!

I used A&J on Springfield for service as well as tires. Once he was able to fix the tire and another time he had to replace. I have always been happy with their service.

Agree with jimmurphy on A&J Automotive. Two out of town recs: Firestone on Morris Tpke in Springfield(invaluable for Sunday tire emergencies) (opposite Mavis) and Livingston    Tire and Auto on Northfield Ave in Livingston. In business since early 1930s and l buy my tires there.

I've used Maplewood Tire as my local for 12 years now. I recommend them enthusiastically.

Aother shout out for Livingston Tire. Heading there myself this week.

Ended up at Maplewood tire and they were great. Thanks for the other suggestions too!
