Tico's Carpentry

Has anyone recently used Tico's to repair/replace their roof? If so, how was the experience?

Tico's did our roof. They did an excellent job, finished on time, cleaned up every scrap. We are very happy with their work, and we highly recommend them.

They did ours, but it was a few years ago. Not only did they do an excellent job (work and cleanup), but they discovered a major structural flaw in our addition (ceiling crossbeams not properly anchored), explained it to us, and fixed it at a very modest price.

Nothing like having your roofers show you that the beams above the ceiling of your family room are literally just resting on a cross beam, not permanently attached in any way, and free to wiggle up and down as a demonstration...

I fully expect to call them in the future for other carpentry jobs (hopefully the roof is good for years to come!)

Just used them this spring. Quote was equal to others, ands they did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

Three-layer tearoff plus new gutters, and I had them do some carpentry repair work before I had the exterior repainted. Then they lifted and rebuilt my saggy garage. Very satisfied. Hugo is a good guy.

They did great work for us a few years ago. Replaced the whole roof, siding on one side of the house that got tremendous sun abuse every day, replaced ceiling in kitchen after leak... I recommend them whole-heartedly.

Did all you guys find Tico's prices competitive? We got an estimate for a major roofing job, and it seems awfully high.

Their prices have been competitive for carpentry jobs, but we did not get a quote from them for our roof.  R & G does a lot of roofs in SOMA.  They had the lowest quote in 2012 when we had our roof replaced.
