seriously, is that a mink??? I've never seen a live one before!
I've seen your turkeys before, and of course that's what the eating-kind of turkey is based on. Our scrub turkeys are quite different, and are everywhere (pest-wise) near my workplace. Tend to hang out with 'bin chickens' (sacred ibis)!

He is a wild mink. There are a few in New Jersey. I only saw one other, in Sussex County. This one, and the turkeys were in Galloway Twp., N.J. at the preserve.
Thanks for your reply. By the Galloway Twp. Preserve, do you mean the one in Port Republic? or Thompsontown Preserve, closer to May's Landing? Or the Preserve in Egg Harbor? Sorry, I'm confused. I have a nature photographer in the family that I want to send out in search of minks! Thanks for your help.
Forsythe Preserve, probably Port Republic.
I have been touring Forsythe for 10 years, at least 3 times per month. I saw a mink one other time, about two years ago. They do exist there because the staff member referred to them as pests.
