Sadly, no more Tarantino for me. Can't deal with the brutality and gore.
brutal and gory is an understatement. This was teetering on an NC-17 according to a few people I know in the industry.

Same here.
Not for me, but I really admire the push to deliver a special old-school cinematic experience.

apparently its only playing in the 70mm format for 2 weeks. The visuals were stunning. I'd see it in 70mm if I were you and asap.

Same here, but I'm glad you enjoyed it (and I understand the draw).
i heard the Tim Roth part was written for Christoph Waltz but since the story takes place in nearly the same time period as Django, Waltz would be playing a character very similar to the one he played in Django. Some bloggers have accused Roth of doing a Waltz impression.

the hateful eight 70mm road show
Usher handed me a full color program on the way in.
10 minute musical overture before the film starts.
Film is over 3 hours long with a 15 minute intermission.
1st act is mostly dialogue driven. 2nd act is full of action and over the top gore.
I enjoyed it very much. Pretty much anyone whos acted in a previous q.t. Film was acting in this one. It was an actual western this time. Not a western about nazis or samurais or jewelry thieves. 70mm print looks amazing.
Saw it at the AMC theater at Garden state plaza.IIRC this is the closest theater with a 70mm showing.
