Join North Jersey Pride for the Black & White Ball, a fabulous evening of live music, entertainment, food and drink at the annual fundraiser benefiting LGBTQ youth. Creative black tie/black & white attire requested and masquerade suggested. Supportive allies most welcome. Must be 21.
A few highlights from this year’s event:
* Dancing and entertainment featuring Joe Battaglia and the 18-piece New York Big Band Orchestra (Rainbow Room, Waldorf Ballroom and Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night's Swing) Special guest performance by local celebrity and Broadway star Robert DuSold (Les Miserables, Jekyll & Hyde, Momma Mia, The Producers).
* Sumptous buffet of edibles and sweets catered by Chef Paul Holtzman, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, and Joe Ramaikas, co-owners of the Cedar Ridge Cafe in Maplewood.
* Exclusive silent auction offering up a smorgasbord of high-end items, including house seats and backstage passes to The Lion King and Fun Home, VIP tickets to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Kathy Griffin package, and much more.
• 300+ of your closest LGBTQ and ally friends to join you in supporting North Jersey Pride's LGBTQ youth and family programming, including the "Stand Up, Speak Out" anti-bullying program NJP launched in 2014. A portion of proceeds will also be used to assemble backpacks for LGBTQ foster children, providing them with personal items such as a stuffed animal to cuddle, new pajamas, and school supplies to ease the transition into their foster home. We will be partnering with New Jersey’s Foster and Adoptive Family Services for this program.
* North Jersey Pride is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and tickets are 80% tax-deductible, so you can give to a worthy cause AND get a tax break.
* The chance to shed your rain boots and wool sweaters, get dolled up and have a magical night out on the town without crossing a bridge or a tunnel: Priceless!
