Taming 2 cute kittens! Found a good home!

For the past week I've been fostering Benny and Smokey, 2 cute kits in need of homes. They were caught by Millburn Animal Control and had no where to go. I am in the process of socializing them now and they are coming along quite nicely. These boys are about 12weeks old, neutered vaccinated and FELV/FIV neg. They are starting to show lots of personality now that they are getting comfortable - Benny yowls for food and Smokey is a big puff ball that loves to play. If you know anyone who could provide a loving, indoor home, please send them my way.

Indeed. grin

I keep trying to post pics...keeps kicking me out.

Posting Benji and Smokey for Hauscat

Here is Benji! He has beautiful Bengal-like markings

and here is the little puff of smoke, known as Smokey

and here are the little boys, together oh oh

Thanks @calliope. As happens with new kits, Benji is now Benny! He seems to like it

Smokey has thick sturdy paws. I think he is going to be a big boy. Hubby only reminds me once a day that they are "fosters"

wow! They are cute!!!!

I think Smokey is at least part Maine Coon Cat! (sending my apologies to Benny---we know Benjie is a dog!---dogs drool and cats rule!)

The second kitty does look like our male part Maine Coon. Great cats

I know someone who was asking for one cat. I will try to reach them.

Thanks, @gerryl. Yes, Smokey has soft, long hair and is a big boy.

They are both gorgeous!

Not at all to choose favorites, but my largely Maine coon once upon a time cat was fantastic--affectionate, highly intelligent and adaptable.

They are both absolutely beautiful. And yes, Smokey does look part Maine Coon.

Don't be too sure about his future size, though. My Mischa had big, beefy paws when we took him in at the age of four months, and I was afraid we had taken in a baby lion, but he is just medium sized now. Still has beefy boy cat paws, though, LOL!

What is it about the new MOL format that so many people have terrible difficulty posting photos??

I would be interested in both, when will they be ready to go?

They are adorable, and likely bonded, I would think they should be kept together, no? Wish I could take them.

Oo, Oo, Oo... very exciting! PM Hauscat so she is sure to see this?

@glover - as soon as they calm down a bit more, they will be ready to go. Benny decided to explore outside the crate today and ended up hiding under some furniture. He was too scared to come out. Have you dealt with scaredkittens before?

Never dealt with scaredy cats (lol) before.

@PeggyC - I think one of the problems is that when you upload a picture, even if it is successful, you don't see it on the upload screen - all you see is a box with an "x" in it. I kept thinking pictures weren't loading because I'd been used to getting a box with an "x" in it when pictures didn't load successfully in other applications. I think Jamie mentioned they might add the picture to the preview at some point in the future.

PS: these kittens are adorable (and I'm a dog person saying that)

@glover - send me your number privately if you would like to chat

Hauscat - Do you not read your PMs?

Hi @mem...I guess I don't read my PMs! I will check regularly now unless someone tells me how to receive an alert on an iPhone? I was unaware that I had messages waiting.

I think it's supposed to send you an email when some one PMs you. Maybe not anymore with the new format I'll check, thanks!

It doesn't. I am frequently surprised to see a number next to my "messages" box on the menu bar. So it's a good idea to look at that from time to time.
