Swings in DeHart Park

Does anyone know what happened to the swings in DeHart Park?  I think I remember them being there last summer, but I haven't seen them yet this spring.  This may be an old issue.  I just recently had a kid and I never paid any attention to them before.

You can probably report it in the automated Maplewood tracker system for an answer:

(You'll need an account on the twp website - which you can set up, or you may already have if you got a pool pass online, or signed up for other twp activities online, etc).

I'm not sure if you'd report it under:
Public Works -->> "Park-Facility Repair"

or
Public Works -->> "Park-Maintenance (Equipment, Fields, Letter)"

I have found the town to be responsive so far. (You get email updates to let you know the progress on your report).

And..... just got this email from the town moments ago:

DeHart Park Construction:

The swing set at DeHart Park is currently closed for safety reasons. On or about June 8th, the DeHart Playground will be under construction. The entire playground will be replaced with new equipment including a new swing set. The park is estimated to reopen the second week of July.

Maplecrest Park Construction:

On or about June 22nd, the Skate Park at Maplecrest Park will be under construction. The skate park will double in size, and be made of concrete. This park is estimated to reopen August 7th.

We apologize for the inconvenience of closing these areas and ask for your patience while we improve these parks.

Thank you,

Maplewood Recreation Department
