Oh, Giraffe is lovely, and she sounds like a real gem. I hope you find someone soon. I really wish I thought I could handle a dog her size, but with my balance issues, a strong dog could be a real problem.

Is there any update on Jewelz?
I posted her on my Petfinder site and got one hit but so far no response from them. I get a lot of spam emails which is sad because I get so excited when I see a response. I'm posting on FB as well.

This pretty dog was fostered as an emergency solution when the JAC closed and is now in need of a permanent home. I have cut and pasted what I was sent and was told it is urgent.
About 3-4 yrs old, about 60#. Spayed, in excellent health, up to date with shots
and medical, crate trained, great walker on a leash, microchipped, knows many
tricks and commands, has done agility and basic training.
"Giraffe" is happiest with plenty of exercise and direction
from a strong leader. She can be shy around other dogs, especially those bigger
than her; and with children. She is very loyal to her leader. She is playful,
loving, funny, cuddly, smart, loves hiking and camping, a ride in the car,
sitting by the fire, rope toys, wants to please and loves to learn new tricks.
She responds best to positive training along with consistent limits and
boundaries. She's been with us for a little more than a year. She was at a
shelter for six months prior to coming to us. It was supposed to be a foster
situation, however, the shelter was shut down and Giraffe has been with us ever
since. With everyone in the house working, she is not getting the exercise that
makes her the happiest she can be. Our lifestyle and jobs are changing; after
lots of consideration we have decided the best situation for Giraffe is to place
her in a new loving home asap. She comes with all medical records, crate and
gear. Please be prepared to provide personal and vet references. She's a great
dog!
