Trump To Release Tax Returns - Not!

And his supporters won't care or question. No tax returns for you~!~~

Tt’s not required by law, but there’s a tradition of disclosure
that Americans have come to count on: candidates for the nation’s
highest office are expected to release information related to their
personal health and their tax filings.

He knows they won't care. Trump did say he could murder someone and they will still stick with him. He also said he loves the poorly educated.

Basically, he admitted his base is composed of amoral stupids.

my theory is that actually releasing the tax returns would show the one thing that Trump supporters would care about -- he's not nearly as wealthy as he says he is.  He's not a "winner."

With all this chatter about Russian and treason and hacking, maybe Mr. trump said what he said to draw attention away from his tax return fiasco.

Someone mentioned that perhaps the reason why he does not want to release the Tax returns is because he will show the extent of his investments in Russia.

Anyhow, where is Anonymous when you need them?

It would be unfortunate if someone leaked them.

Maybe the Chinese should hack his tax returns.

Funny that his entry into the conservative-media credibility that spurred his campaign was his bigoted, dishonest demand to see additional documentary proof of the president's birthplace. Even though that ended in humiliating failure, it is clear that his effort proved to the base that he was their kind of people.

What Trump really needs to provide is solid evidence that he is not the offspring of an orangutan.

His whole campaign is about doing the opposite of what 'the establishment' does, so this shouldn't really be a surprise. And his base will love it, because he's standing up for himself and not doing what the lamestream media demands of him.

You have to give Trump credit for doing what H.L. Mencken predicted.

Mencken said - well, he said a lot.  http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/h/h_l_mencken.html

But I think he would agree with the idea that sooner or later, we would reduce the Office of the President to reality T.V.

I think that in addition to not being as rich as he claims it will show that most of his income comes from entertainment, licence fees for use of his name and selling things.  I also think that his real estate operations create enough loopholes to create a very low effective tax rate. There may also be offshore investmrnts in tax havens.

Can he not be sued to release the returns? By whom? The DNC? Some federal election commission?

I don't think there's any law that says he has to release them just because he's a candidate.

I don't think there's any law that says he has to release them just because he's a candidate.

Nor is there any law that a US President must release their tax returns, although every President since Harry Truman, with the exception of Gerald Ford, has done so.

It's not just that he is worth a fraction of what he pretends and gets his money from shady sources...

The few times where he has been forced to release them, we've seen that he often pays NO taxes. Zero.

Have a feeling we'd see more of that.

My concern is that Trump will refuse to debate Hillary fearing she will wipe the floor with him by revealing his emptiness.  Just as he has done with his tax returns, he will do the same with the debates.  There is no requirement to debate.

Kind of like Hillary not holding a press conference for over a year?

Melania's website is no longer. Turns out it stated she had a degree in architecture. Not so. She dropped out of college after one year.

Is Bill still calling himself a Rhodes scholar?

He did win the scholarship, which is an achievement in itself, but he did not attend.

You know, you can say what you like about the Clintons, but both came from moderate/downright humble backgrounds and achieved excellence.  Any parent would be bursting with pride to have a child who achieved what either of them achieved.

I've wrote that concern previously.

I'm looking forward to the debates.

If Trump refuses he will go on his arrogant high horse to justify it.

Something like "I'm not going to lower myself by debating crooked Hillary." And his base of stupids will agree saying Trump has integrity by not debating with a crook.

Or he could minimize the number of debates.

George Will: Trump Is Hiding Bribes From Russian Oligarchs In His Tax Returns

“Well, it’s the sort of thing we might learn if we saw the candidates’ tax returns. Perhaps one more reason why we’re not seeing his tax returns because he is deeply involved in dealing with Russia oligarchs and others. Whether that’s good, bad or indifferent, it’s probably the reasonable surmise.”

Clinton is the only Rhodes scholar not to get a degree from Oxford.

I've always liked something about George Will even though I've disagreed with him on policy issues. He puts class into the class system.

Ask Eileen Wellstone.

Because he didn't go, not because he failed out or anything.
