So far?

I am not sure I have the "Hush Money" case clear in my mind or not. But, it looks to me as if the prosecution has established that in August of 2015, a year before the election, Trump and Cohen, and Pecker, set a plan to have the National Enquirer print negative stories about Trump's opponents, and to hide negative stories about Trump. One commentator called it "the birth of false news". Well Said!

The third day of the trial, I feel as if I have some insight into who Trump is:

He looks like an average kid who was the oldest son of a self-made very wealthy man. He worked for his father after University of Penn degree, and eventually took over the operation of the business. He inherited something like $400 million and worked up to credibly playing the role or actually being or becoming NYC's biggest developer and a local celebrity. I grew up in Queens, and was well aware of who Donald Trump was. He was often in the news, or TV (as often as he could be). I have a feeling the peak of Trump's career was being the NYC celebrity developer. For some reason he got a TV show whose format was celebrities trying to impress him, and him firing many celebrities and that made him a "star". It Also created or extended the myth of Donald Trump now becoming "Super star" and Business man, the "FIXER". He inherited so much money, that a mediocre performance as CEO of his business would not really be visible, and his image was strong - Trump Air Lines, Trump "everything". His stardom Pays dividends and he has a very successful image. But the man himself is having trouble living up to the image. A lot more make-up than "bronze" is coming to the surface. He has always "played dirty" I remember when he was "exposed" for calling into radio shows pretending to be someone else to talk about Trump.  He always seemed to me to be a con man at heart, and one who was succeeding nicely. 

So then through a bunch of fluke circumstances, the guy runs for and becomes President of the United States. He is completely unfit for office. His ideas are naive at best and against U.S. interest at worst. He has a lot of help, so he labels his craziness in attractive ways: "Make America Great Again", "America First", etc. His policies and ideas are basically absurd! He has no understanding of the world's politics and the current version of Pax Americana. I was shocked when Jamie Diamond said Trump got NATO right! Yes every member should be contributing 2% of their GDP to NATO defence, but that is the least important aspect of the alliance, at least in my view. But he is an excellent conman, as the "Hush Money" trial is showing. He has said ridiculous things probably not even knowing what was fiscal or monetary policy. His Secretary of State said he was a moron, but he would like to be the first United States dictator, and may actually become so.
