New Jersey has announced that the RetireReady NJ state-mandated retirement savings program will now be required for most employers with 10 or more employees, up from the current level of 25. Once implemented, employers with 10 or more employees who have been in business in New Jersey for at least 2 years and do not offer a qualified retirement plan will be required to facilitate payroll deductions into RetireReady NJ.
This event will discuss the state program and present acceptable alternatives to the NJ plan. Learn more about how this could impact your business. Also, as a business owner, if you are not yet covered by this mandate, it is never a bad time to start planning for your own retirement. Learn more about the benefits of starting a plan for yourself. There are efforts to lower this further, and expectations are that it will go to one employee at some point in the future.
