ISIS Doesn't Scare Me -- This Scares the Crap Out of Me!

Did anyone see this on Rachel Maddow's show last night?  YIKES, YIKES and TRIPLE YIKES!!

Rachel Maddow shows that while Democrats were participating in a candidates forum, Republicans Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal and Ted Cruz were guests at "religious freedom" event led by a pastor who preaches that homosexuality should be punished with death.

This kind of extreme, rabid religiosity in government scares the sh&t out of me too. How can a person expecting to lead this country stand on the same podium with this man who has repeatedly advocated for the murder of gays? 

And, what ever happened to separation of church and state? "Every president who doesn't start his day on his knees isn't fit to be president" - Ted Cruz. SMH!

Unfortunately

Saw this last night and was awed by the performance quality of the "sermon." We've got more than enough christian preachers in this crowd - Cruz (son of preacher); Huckabee; Carson. Testament to the fear and apocalyptic thinking of their constituencies. Af Am president; LGBT rights; fear of a Muslim planet. And a GOP cast of characters all too happy to exploit these fears.

These nutjob pastors just want to out do each other for 15 minutes of fame and 15 million of donations.   But, the Kevin Swanson guy makes them all look like left-leaning liberals.  In addition to wanting death for gays, he says you should drown your children rather than let them read Harry Potter.
