Gary Johnson Has An "Oops"

"Dude, the big exam is coming up. Put away the weed."

He called it an "Aleppo moment". I think it was more of an "Oops" like Rick Perry had when he lost his train of thought in the middle of a debate answer. With Governor Perry, I think it was cold medicine that was blamed. With Governor Johnson, well ...

He may be more unqualified than Trump.

For a while, I told myself "at least he's smarter than Jill Stein".

But no. Wrong again.

Gary Johnson is the honey badger of US politics.

Terp,

We stick our nose into lots of fights that aren't ours. And Iraq, obviously, was a mistake in a class of its own.

But which conflicts, specifically, would you walk away from?

It's one thing to walk away from conflict. It's another to be ignorant of the world outside the U.S.

I don't know. I'm not exactly the biggest Johnson fan, but if this Gary Johnson showed up at the debates I'd stand up and cheer.

His words may be correct but he looks like he is drunk or nuts. And he talks about what is in his heart but not his head. I have heard both Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders say similar things in a more calm, coherent and intelligent manner.

For some reason, I saw the end of "The Five" on Fox News today, and the Gary Johnson story was being discussed. Dana Perino said that same thing, and I thought it was funny that I heard/read the same phrase twice in one day. I thought it was a common phrase I just hadn't heard before, so I "Googled". I got a funny result:

Look. He's not my guy. Did Ron Paul do a better job of representing the principles? Absolutely! But, I don't have a Ron Paul option this election.

Here's my thing though. In Order of Importance

  1. Avoids war as a principle
  2. Knows where Aleppo is
  3. Looks polished

I think the American People, by and large, would order that list in the opposite way.

Off the top of my head: Libya, Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, Ukraine. What am I forgetting?

Terp,

How should the U.S. have reacted to 9-11?

We should have made sure that Bin Laden paid for it.

We should then have taken a hard look at our Foreign Policy and asked the question "Exactly who is the beneficiary of all of this?" We should then have exited Saudi Arabia immediately, and pulled all support for that corrupt regime.

Does this mean that Fox news is stealing ridski's lines? (Without attribution?)

Wow.

Suspicion confirmed. Ridski works for Fox.

I save the best ones for Kilmeade.

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—In an appearance Friday on CNN, Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Presidential nominee, promised that as President he would get tough on East Korea.

“This behavior is unacceptable,” he said. “The East Koreans are making us look like idiots.”

While stressing that he remained, for the most part, an isolationist, he said, “I will do everything in my power as President to support our allies in West Korea.”

He also blasted the Obama Administration for its “lack of transparency” in conducting foreign policy. “I think it’s unconscionable that I just found out about these countries today,” he said.

NYer

LOL! I bet HTC didn't even know there is an East Korea!!!1!1!!!

Justin Trudeau, Angela Merkel, François Hollande, and Gary Johnson walk into a bar.

Gary Johnson says, "Who the f*** are these people?"

To be fair, it's not likely most Libertarians would admire any of those people. Of course, that would be a better defense of Johnson if he was actually a Libertarian.

Gary Johnson is a freakin' space shot.

Making Bin Laden pay for it required sending troops to Afganistan.

Justin Trudeau, Angela Merkel, François Hollande, Recep Erdogan and Gary Johnson walk into a bar.
“What’ll it be?” asks the bartender.
“Molson,” says Trudeau.
“Schnapps,” says Merkel.
“Wine,” says Hollande.
The bartender looks at Erdogan. “What’ll you have?”
Erdogan shakes his head. “Nothing, thank you. I'm Muslim and alcohol is forbidden.”
Johnson perks up. “I’m not drinking either! I’m protesting the drink tax they passed last month. See, taxation is theft and…”
Erdogan starts waving his arms frantically. “Bartender! Bartender! Two Long Island Ice Teas, please, ASAP!”

And why were all five hanging out together?

All f**ked up on qat.
