Looks like he was filling in for Scalia and didn't have enough of a special connection to the place to stick around after his job was done. What's the big deal?

Meanwhile, I think it's wealth and celebrity status, not political views, which get special treatment. 

If Clint Eastwood were in a similar situation, I'm sure he'd get the same treatment.
