Ash Wednesday services

St. Andrew & Holy Communion is holding its Ash Wednesday services today at 4:30 pm Children's service, and 7:30 pm Traditional service. The children's service is 30 minutes and led by the Youth of the church. All are welcome. Need not be episcopalian to participate.

There are so many good things about the volunteer work I do at the VNAHG Hospice in West Orange, not the least of which is them bringing in a Catholic priest during the afternoon to give ashes to anyone who wanted them.  Not being a morning person, I hadn't made the early Mass and was faced with going to the 7 PM service to get ashes.  But word went up and down the halls quickly that the priest was there and zip, zip I was good for this year!   wink
