This is hardly an election based on issues. Rather it is who can sling the most mud................who is guilty
of the most unspeakable acts and crimes.? This is not an election that anyone can point to with pride
However I am reminded of the great statesmen Daniel Webster and his question in a perilous time
" How fares the Union".............and I know we will emerge from this quagmire a stronger better nation
And one other favorite thought.........." The strongest steel is that which is forged in the hottest fire"
Thanks for posting this. I've been really stressed lately and I know why. I was wondering if others felt the same.

I avoid the passive binge watching of news reports on this election. I read the NYT's print every day, which gives me more of a sense of control as I can pass over some articles. I pretend that I am on a remote island with no wi-fi or daily news reports of any kind. However, but there are times when snatches of it leak: “He was like an octopus...his hands were everywhere ...”
