Ridiculous Conspiracy Theories from Putin's Resident Stooge

Aug 16, 2025 at 2:49pm

Trump went in talking tough but he came out looking like he had been ridden hard and put away wet.

Didn't Trump look annoyed when the press conference began? Putin took charge and gave his history lesson including reference to the proximity of Alaska. I held my breath expecting him to say that Trump traded Alaska for the rights to a Trump Tower Moscow.

His continued comments referring to the narrow strip of water between us could have appeared to be a veiled threat, judging by the discomfort on Trump's face.

Trump accomplished nothing. Make that less than nothing -

Trump reverses on the need for a ceasefire before a potential peace deal ending the war in Ukraine

"In Alaska, President Vladimir Putin walked on a red carpet, shook hands and exchanged smiles with his American counterpart. Donald Trump ended the summit praising their relationship and Russia as a superpower, even after admitting they didn’t reach a deal on ending the war in Ukraine."

As bad as this all is for the world, on a personal level, it must feel pretty cool for Vlad to make the "leader of the free world" his little #####.

Putin threw Trump a bone, agreeing that there would not have been a war if Trump had been in office. How exactly would that have worked?

Wow, so little insight. Just the fact that he had this summit was a good thing. It’s important for nuclear powers to have dialogue between them. There was no way in hell Putin would agree to a ceasefire and he’s got all the cards. Trump has no leverage.

There will not be another Minsk agreement. The idiotic Europeans, Gen Kellogg and Zelensky just want to keep this failed war going without any hope of winning. Ukraine will cease to be a country.

Trump probably understands this now and he needs to step away from “Biden’s War” and encourage them to make a deal. They won’t have a choice if the US aid money dries up. The corporate media is spinning this a different way but it’s all propaganda.

And yes, I agree there probably would not have been a war started were Trump president. He wants to get along with Russia and have trade. Biden, led by the neocons, wanted Russia weakened and possibly broken up. That’s why they did the coup and started the proxy war.

This was just the first meeting. They are supposed to meet in a Moscow next. The ceasefire was a neocon strategy that was never going to fly.

There was no great outcome from the meeting but i agree with nan that just having it was a positive. Unless you're of the George W. Bush school of thought where you need your adversaries to agree with all your preconditions before even meeting.

i don't get the reflexive mocking and pissing on it from the left. The left will insist they're not rooting for Trump to fail, but it sure seems like they are.

Your TDS prevents you from using whatever brain you have. There is this thing called self-awareness. Have you ever heard of it?  Check it out.

No need to announce your intention to avoid someone you might not agree with. That’s putting you in drummerboy territory, which is never a good look. Funny enough, I have a negative view of you based on past interactions and I happened to see some of your posts about Gaza that I agreed with. Never expected that. They made me think you might not be so lowly a slug. But then you have to go and act like a jerk again. . .

there it is again.

a TDS accusation

the sign of actual TDS

in this case, he embarrasses and debases himself and the U.S. on the world stage, and you think it's a positive.

that's the very definition of delusional. but in your case, you just like it when your country gets embarrassed and debased. because you hate it with a passion.

did you believe him when he said he'd resolve the war in 24 hours? if you wisely didn't believe him, why did you also not conclude that anyone who said such a thing should never be trusted about anything?

but apparently you still do.

delusion once again.

since you mentioned Gaza, this should pique your interest. assuming this is true, and there's no reason to think otherwise, this is the guy that for some reason you think is trying to act in the world's interest, and not his own.

Personally I don't think government policy should be determined by someone who handcuffed themselves to the Twitter office and was banned from using Uber for being racist

Never thought for a second he would resolve the war in 24 hours—at that point I knew more about the war than he did. This summit changed that. Trump did something the previous administration would not even consider—-actually talk to Putin face to face in a respectful way looking for real dialogue. I think Trump knows now that a ceasefire would be impossible and what he needs to do to extract himself from “Biden’s War.”  Not sure he will follow through but he knows what needs to be done. Zelensky and the EU ghouls are the ones who embarrass and debase.

I don’t like Trump, but this summit was a good idea and he did OK.

When it comes to Israel, Trump is horrendous, as are the majority in Congress.

When it comes to Israel anything of any importance at all, Trump is horrendous. , as are the majority in Congress.

fixed it.

you could use an editor.

oh almost forgot the actual point of my post. which you, of course, completely missed.

Laura Loomer is making policy.

There are no words to adequately describe the lunacy of that fact.

But you apparently don't care. Or think it's fine. Or something.

For a couple of reasons. First, the end of the summit was completely inconsistent with what Trump had declared to be his purpose for the summit. Here's a news story from the day before the summit, on Trump's stated positions. Before the summit, leaving without Trump getting what he described was considered to be a complete failure.

Second, and probably more important - this is the headline in the paper that landed on my front walk this morning. Key words: "reversal"; "President Surrenders"; "adopting Mr. Putin's preference"; "Ukraine ceding unconquered territory to Russia instead of the urgent cease-fire".

I can remember when summit meetings were conducted by adults and were often used to finalize meaningful agreements based on months or years of negotiations.

those were the days when a deal was a deal.

Listening to Marco Rubio on Face The Nation discuss the meeting. Probably the most coherent answers we are going to get.

lol - seriously?  Every meeting which Putin ends up giving vlad more time to bomb the crap out of Ukraine. Trump threatened immediate action if no ceasefire- now he’s waiting 2-3 weeks!

What was “ok” about this?  The photo op with “pursuing peace” in the back?  Great picture for kremlin propaganda outlets.

It should say “In a Reversal, Trump Aligns with Common Sense “

For those of you in favor of the ceasefire option, how do you suppose that was a realistic option???  What cards does Trump have to get that?  Are you aware of the two previous Minsk agreements where the Russians were screwed over when they agreed to ceasefires?  Are you aware the Russians are winning and Ukraine is almost out of men?

Zelensky and the EU crew want WWIII or just to continue the money flow so they push that option. Trump should have known it was a non-starter going in. If he did not he heard it loud and clear at the meeting.

Zelensky and many Ukrainians want their country.

The EU (Baltics, Finland, Poland, others who remember WWII) wants to push back against the idea that Russia can just do land grabs.

It's a weird contrast, the Palestinians are entitled to their land (something that I agree with) but the Ukrainians have no right to sovereignty.  One law for thee and another for me.

The people of Ukraine want the war to end even if it means lost territory. If they continue the war, Ukraine will just lose more territory. They can’t win. Russia was on our side in WWII and if the EU wants to start WWIII over Ukraine, let them fund and fight this war themselves. They can’t, hence the histrionics. This war is not about land grabs. It’s about NATO expansion.
