Stupid car question

We need plates for our new used car. What documents will we need to bring and which DMV is the best locally? I imagine Springfield. TIA!

Title for replacement vehicle, proof of purchase price and insurance card.

You may save money by transferring the plates from your old car to the replacement car. That would especially be true if the registration was recently renewed.
