STEM Volunteers

I'm looking to find folks to discuss volunteer opportunities with STEM programs in our school district. From chatting with staff I know that there are several places where volunteer help would be helpful and most welcome. For example, there are a lot of folks in the software business around here... any of you interested in pitching in to help the Programming Club, or Girls Who Code?? So... post here if interested, or message me... and I will try to organize a F2F to talk about it

Just to be clear, this is for the SO/Maplewood district

Do you need any spelling volunteers?  oh oh

Damned cut and paste...

Spelling is for liberal arts majors! Check out the Maker Madness fair at Columbia High School, 4/30, sponsored by The Achieve Foundation, they are asking for volunteers and you will find some there!

You CAN fix this, you know.

Bravo.

I'll volunteer to proofread any of your group's communications.

No need to be dramatic.

http://achievefoundation.org/ for info about Maker Madness.

I am determined to keep this thread above the stupid argument about Starbucks in the Village.

Mr Ryan one place which might benefit from a coordinated volunteer effort would be the school libraries. There is much discussion about expanding the scope of the libraries to include more focus on STEM education.

Gerry -- check your e-mail for a note from me

Leave it to a priggish English major to bring Moby-Dick into this.

Your use of the hyphen warms the cockles of my heart and entitles you to an honorary English degree. With which you can get a job at Starbucks.

Heh! Got one. (The degree. Which means I'll be looking for the job.)
