spotted some ants on the floor in house - should we worry?

So far just a couple here and there I've noticed on the floor - they're small and oval shaped I believe, so don't like like termites..Is there such a thing as innocuous, "seasonal" ants or is there some obvious course of action? I also ask because we recently repaired an attic leak and probably have some built up moisture up there we need to address (which probably doesn't help)...Thanks for any thoughts!

Me too! I saw them last year and got the small ant traps for them and they disappeared in a couple of weeks but now they're back. Really tiny ants. Smallest I've seen. I'm unfamiliar with these ants and they could possibly be seasonal. I never see them in the Fall or possibly past late July / August.

Had them about a month ago, maybe they didn't like it here and moved.

Seriously, I put out traps and sprayed and they seem to have gone away

Very seasonal. Ants are mostly a spring phenomenon. Make sure you don't have leaves or other yard debris next to your foundation, because they like that. And there are ant sprays and granules you can use to keep them from getting in, as well as traps. Not sure what is best regarding children, pets or the environment, so read some labels in the pest control aisle at Home Depot.

Nothing to worry about unless they seem to be taking control.

if they are small and oval, they may be springtails... Do they jump when u try to squish them? (Assuming you do?) they live off the moisture in the wood... They have created little channels on my wooden fence, and they are in the house in various spots. They are annoying, but I don't think too detrimental. But a bug spray will help... Even the organic ones do the trick

You would know springtails.Although they crawl, they jump like fleas. Are drawn to sinks/tub where moisture is present. Sounds more like pavements ants. Would be nice if you could identify where exactly they were congregating so you could bait that area. You could google it to get some tips.
