Sorry - I'm multitasking between an emergency management meeting and making the announcement about an ice rink, lol.
Do guests have to go with a S.O. resident? I.e., can Maplewood residents pay the $5 to skate, or do we have to go with someone from S.O.?

My question too!
The way it looks on the Village Green posting is that use of the rink is for SO residents and their guests.
Make sure to bring your own skates. Anyone have a women's 7 and 8 that I could borrow?

Yes, but SO guests only? Or guests from anywhere? Presume the latter but you never know
when I went by at 5ish there were several skaters looking like they were having a blast!!
And I have a girl's size 13 figure skates to sell (runs small, so probably fits girls with size 11 or 12 shoe).
I haven't been by there so I don't know the layout... Will it be plowed or shoveled?
My son and I had a ton of fun on the rink on Sunday and Monday. It was a great environment for him to gain confidence and experiment on the ice. Too bad the weather hasn't been more conducive to ice skating this winter.

Winter has arrived! We will open the rink at 3:30 pm today. Bring your skates, dress warm and have fun!
The rink is open to South Orange residents with a current Recreation Department Membership I.D. and their guests. The guest fee is $5 per person per day. 2016 I.D. Badges are available for purchase now at the Baird. A 2015 I.D. Badge is also valid for ice rink access. The rink will be open for the winter season, weather and ice permitting, Monday-Friday 3:30 to 9:00 pm , Saturdays 12:00-9:00 pm and Sundays 12:00-6:00 pm. Questions? Call the Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs at 973-378-7754, ext. 1.
Also, the reason it wasn't opened earlier (as per questions in another thread) is we need 4 inches of ice to open the temporary rink.
Enjoy Everyone!
