shred-a-thon -when is the next one?

Anybody know the answer to this question?

I checked the Maplewood Township website, and the only shed-a-thon listed was the one from last April. Seems to me they had one last October, not sur though, maybe there will be one this October, check the website.

Call DPW to see if one is scheduled.

This ^^^^

Next South Orange Shredding Day is apparently Saturday, October 10th.

The Gaslight newsletter for July/August 2015 has the following statement on page 7: Paper Shredding Day

Come to the Public Works Yard on Saturday, Oct. 10,
from 8 a.m. to noon. The shredding vendor will provide a
“certificate of destruction” to verify that all material was
shredded beyond recognition.

The newsletter for July/August 2015 can be found at http://southorange.org/gaslight.asp

PS I do not know whether Maplewood residents are permitted to come and drop their documents for this event. However, the SO DPW (telephone is (973) 378-7741 - then press "1" for main office) can probably answer that question.

Every day is shred day at The UPS Store, 72 Cents per net pound.

Just bring it in and get rid of it. Services performed by Iron Mountain.

Parking paid by Me.

I called a few weeks ago and was told that the Maplewood fall date was not yet set but would be sometime in October.

Anyone heard anything about the next shred-it day for Maplewood? (I'm hoping it isn't this Saturday because I will be away.) If not, I'll call again, but it seems like it ought to be on a calendar somewhere by now.

October 24th, 2015 from 9am to 2pm or until the truck fills up, at the Maplewood Recycling Center, located at 359 Boyden Ave.

This was posted about a week ago on the DPW part of the Maplewood website. I wish they had sent out an email.

Maybe they still will, but I know that there have been times in the past when the only notice I got of this was on MOL.

Oh man!! This is exactly what I need tomorrow! We cleared out our office to make it a playroom and i have a ton of paperwork from bank accounts that were closed a decade ago, etc. Thanks for bumping this!

Nice to know we have choices, but tomorrow works for me. So, I'll be off to DPW with my boxes of accumulated papers to be shredded.

I was just on the township website and saw that the dates for 2016 are April 9th and October 22nd for those who plan ahead.

I took a pile to UPS in SO and paid $3.50 to shred it.
