Shout-out to my polling place in Hilton

Just have to give some love to our excellent polling place at the DeHart Community Center. It's jammed on a primary day; every first-time voter gets a round of applause from the whole room; the ladies behind the table at District 9 recognize my kid every year. Great to see everyone out and engaged. I'm proud of my neighborhood. GO VOTE!

Vote at Town Hall.  Not fancy at all but they get the job done.  Go ahead Liberty and Justice forever.

Yes! I vote there too. Very engaged, friendly, and efficient. I only wish whoever books athletic events there would avoid scheduling games on election days! There was no parking and people were circling the parking lot up until the last minute to try to get in and vote! I hope they all made it.

My polling place has NO parking lot and serves FOUR districts. Parking is not permitted on the portion of the street immediately adjacent to the door leading to the room where voting takes place.  Those working the polls usually take up the spaces in front of the building's main entrance.  Voters who come by car park on the side streets and walk a block or two if needed.  A full parking lot seems a poor excuse for not voting.
