Shoe Store for 9 year old

Can anyone suggest a place to buy shoes for a 9 year old?  We use to go to "The Little Shoebox" in Montclair but they have gone out of business and Futter's in Millburn has stopped carrying children's shoes.

What about Jay's shoebox in Linvingston? I've only been once but think it would work well.

We've been going to Jay's for our 6-10 year olds for awhile now and it's been working for us.

Jay's in Livingston. The one and only place I've have bought shoes for my children, from their first pair until they outgrew the place. Love it there.

Thanks everyone.  We will definitely be checking Jay's out.

Another fan of Jay's. I am actually trying to find a shoe store for my teen who has grown out of Jay's. I need a real shoe store who will measure and ensure the shoes fit properly. I am hoping the places in Millburn will become our go to place bc I am at a total loss over what to do. I am tired of trying on millions of shoes in the warehouse places for there to be a complaint about every one OR dealing with the horrible department store service where I end up leaving in frustration.

We went through a phase in which our teen bought athletic shoes at sports stores.  Most other needs (e.g. low heeled dress shoes or sandels) were solved by ordering 3-6 likely pairs from Zappos and returning all but one.

Nordstrom at Short Hills Mall. Excellent service, they fit shoes for children and their return policy is outstanding. Even on shoes that have been worn but either prematurely fall apart or have some issue.

Susan - that is another option I have been toying with! I do it for myself.

On the third floor. They cater to teens in that shoe department.

We went to Jays today.  It was AWESOME!  Thanks to everyone for steering us their way.
