Sewer Bills Due Today

Update: Township website says they are due today but when I go to pay online it says it was due on 6/15 and they are already charging me interest. Anyone know which date is correct?

I called. The person confirmed that the bills were due on June 15th. I asked why the website said July 1st and they had no idea.

The payment was due on 15 June; but if the assessment is paid before 1 July (or perhaps on 1 July) no interest/late fee is assessed.

I paid on Monday.

The town website says July 10...but my online payment page also has a penalty shown. My sewer bill says July 1

Nope, an a penalty was assessed for payments made today ..guess that there was confusion because of the different postings

Thanks (yahoo) for starting the post ....or my penalty would have been more! It is nice and easy to make the payments online !

yeah, except there is a fee added to online payments, tax and sewer. that always gets to me as we just don't pay enough already, do we?

Do you think the town should waive the penalties because of the mistake online? (I mean I know mistakes are made sometimes, but really). Also this was emailed as "Breaking News", wasn't it? Did anyone else get that email?

It seems a lot of us saw that and thought we had more time. I didn't think about until I pulled out the bill today as I had it noted in my calendar.
