Senior Citizen Living Consultant

A colleague asked me today if I could help her find out about Senior Citizen housing/nursing homes. I'm a social worker and you'd think that I'd be able to get an overview on this kind of information for a friend. I remember that when we were looking for housing solutions for my grandmother I was stunned that there wasn't an easy way to find a "consultant" of some sort - they have to be out there, right? Seems ridiculous that this isn't a business model - or isn't one that I can locate after spending about 10 minutes Googling. Anyway - rant aside - does anyone know of a person who helps people find appropriate housing for their senior family members?
