Seeking GENTLY used toy donations

I've recently started volunteering at a Therapeutic Pre-K program. The program is located in East Orange and serves children ages 2 1/2 to 5-years-old with emotional, behavioral and/or developmental challenges. Some children are in foster care, all are from low-income families.

The Pre-K classrooms need toys. If you are going to clean out your toy boxes and playrooms in anticipation of the holiday season please consider donating to this program.

Your generosity is appreciated but so is your discernment...Any donations need to be clean, safe and in good working condition with all parts accounted for.

They really need:
Dolls: Barbie and "traditional" baby dolls (especially in a variety of skin tones to reflect the student population.)
Action Figures
Cars, trucks, construction vehicles, etc.
PlayDoh
Superhero items/Playsets
bicycle helmets - for PRE-K size heads... 3 - 5 years
puzzles
Easels for painting/art projects

A donation receipt can be provided upon request.

Drop offs can be done to my home in Maplewood.  Pm for address/drop off info. There is no deadline, the donations can be ongoing.

Children’s DVDs and CD, and books on tape/CD would be welcomed.
