Report: Union Collision body work

If you need body work on your car, these are the guys for you. They're like the NASA scientists of body work. They use their computers to tell you exactly what it will cost. And no funny business. Go to them. Now.

hey Ligeti  if you know them please let them know they need to have a different process on the phone system!!  I called for hours, address and to see if i could get an appt and the phone system just said to press #for one guy and #for a different guy -- neither called me back !!

We had a good experience with them too. Really nice work, too. You can't tell that there was an accident.

Excellent experience with them.  And Fine Finishes in Orange too.  Both have been very good to work with and Fine Finishes helped me out doing a repair very reasonably that was less than my deductible.

Thank you for the recommendation--they just fixed my daughter's car and it was an amazing experience.  Great and honest people--like having your cousin nearby and she owns a body shop.  Customer for life.

Another very happy customer here. Not only did they do an amazing job on my car, but they gave me an amazing deal and superb customer service. My car showed up at a parking lot with a big gash on the side. I did not want to do the repair via the insurance since it would likely raise my rates. Went to other places in the area and everyone wanted between $2700-$3200 to fix it by replacing the part. Union Collision gave me the option to repair the damage without replacing the part for half. I was initially quoted a price. Well the day before pick up I got a call and was told the price had changed. I braced myself for them to tell me that it was a lot more, but to my surprise the cost had actually gone done. Now read that again. The total that they quoted me initially had gone down and the resulting bill was almost $200 less than the initial quote! I mean when was the last time someone charged you less than initially quoted?  Furthermore they were amazing while picking up showing me pictures of every step and not treating me like a dummy because I am a woman. If I ever have any further body damage (fingers crossed I don't) they are my first and likely my only stop. They have change my view on this industry as they showed that there are still family businesses out there that provide a good value and great customer service.

Our actual was also less than the estimate!

This morning I call Union Collision and get Mike, one of the owner's sons.  If I drop my car off for an emergency repair, can I get a ride to work two towns over?  Yes, he says.   I rush over before he can really realize what he's said.  I park and wait approximately 90 seconds in the office.  Then Mike pops in to say he's already looked at the car and can fix it in 10 minutes and wouldn't I rather just wait?  And he does fix the car in 10 minutes.  I mention that one of my headlights is out, almost as a kind of throw down. They change the bulb in 5 minutes.  I want to marry Union Collision.

Another satisfied Union Collision customer here.  Turns out I used them over 35 years ago at the old location a few doors down and the new building with larger office space is right next door to a building I worked in. They are an approved body shop for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance, so when the out-of-state estimate didn't figure in all the damage BEHIND the rear bumper, they took a few extra days, but got NJM to cover it while waiting for Progressive to pony up for their client. Lots of text updates.

Bonus: they got my phone-phobic husband to text!

PS to Jamie and Dave:  smile  I told them to look into advertising for real, none of this word-of-mouth stuff!  question

I saw this thread and worried if it had gone downhill since I had such a great experience with them years ago.  So, I am very happy to see that they are still doing great work.
