Rent Party is delighted to announce that we are partnering with National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section, and The Parenting Center to insure that 35 of our kids start the school year off on the right foot!
The annual NCJW/Essex Back 2 School Store enables under-served children of Essex County to “shop” for free for brand-new clothing, sneakers and school supplies in a one-day-only “store” set up just for them in a synagogue located in West Orange. With the assistance of NCJW/Essex volunteer personal shoppers, each child is escorted throughout the department-store-like space to select pants, shirts, sneakers, hats, gloves, undergarments, a winter jacket, and a backpack in their favorite colors and styles. Each child also receives school supplies as well as personal care items. All of the merchandise is brand new, purchased or donated by NCJW/Essex and its sponsoring partners.
The Back 2 School Store is an amazing, rewarding event unlike any other community service. Its success relies on hundreds of volunteers. To volunteer, complete the online registration form as soon as possible. Many spots are available, but they fill up very quickly.
