Registration Begins for Fall SeniorStudio Painting Class

The Maplewood Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs will be again be sponsoring SeniorStudio, a free, innovative studio art program especially designed for

Age 60+ township residents with no prior painting experience.

 

Registration is now open for the Fall semester. New classes begin Thursday, September 7 at 11am and run for two hours. They will be held at the DeHart Community Center at 120 Burnett Ave. The program, which includes eight classes and class trips to 1978Arts Gallery and the Montclair Museum continues through November 16.

 

The instructor for the program will be Lauren Kaiser, Montclair, a painter, graphic designer and experienced arts educator, instructor and tutor, who has taught numerous art studio workshops, including two previous SeniorStudio programs.

 

Since space is limited, interested students are encouraged to register soon, either in-person at DeHart Community Center or Town Hall or sending an email or call Michelle Wesley, michellew@twp.maplewood.nj.us, 973.763.0750

I'm interested too.  I just sent Michelle an email.


I registered this AM; was told I'm #5 of a class of up to 15.


Just verified that the class is full.  Names are still being taken for the waiting list.  Call 973-763-0750 if interested.  Also verified that there will be no class on September 21, 2017 (Rosh Hashana).
