Tape a note on your toters:
Option 1 - "No dog poop, please."
Option 2 - "NO DOG POOP"
The sad part is that some poor worker working the conveyor belt separating items will probably put their hand right in it, or it will be on many of the items they touch.
Just nasty.
This seems pretty standard behavior unfortunately. I’m not sure much can be done about it.
you mean in the few hours you put the recycling bin out for recycle day this happens? Or do you leave them out in front all the time?
Maybe your sign should say, "You are a f*cking imbecile putting dog crap in my recycling bin!"
This has happened in our neighborhood, too. The recycling bin sitting out for collection seems to be the most convenient location for the dog walker to use for his "waste."
I put them out the morning of. It doesn't happen each recycle time but it's enough to make me angry. I don't know why people just can't behave and follow simple rules.

It's even easier to do the wrong thing.

I've noticed (randomly) that someone has been putting in items that do not belong in recycling bins, e.g., dog poop bags. I don't know who is doing this. It's happened at least 4x's since the summer. Arrrggghhhh!!! Is there a way to secure our bins with a lock of some sort? I know it can't be locked throughout the day because the guys wouldn't have access to our recycling but I'm at my wits. I can't keep patrolling my bins but am afraid that I won't get a pick up because of this.
