Prescription Drug Take Back Day

from Robert Roe:  On Saturday April 29th from 10am until 2pm, unused or expired medications can be dropped off at the Maplewood Police Dept., 1618 Springfield Ave.  This is part of a county, state and national drug take back program so that medications can be safely disposed.   Do not throw prescription drugs down the sink or toilet.   This can pollute our water.   Call the Maplewood Health Dept. if you have any question.  973-762-8120 x4400.

My usual PSA: There is a drop box at the Millburn police headquarters available 24/7, no questions asked. It's a repurposed mailbox in the lobby.

I once tried dropping off drugs at Millburn PD on a Saturday morning  and was told they only accept them on weekdays.  This was about a year ago so it may have changed.  Taking advantage of the Maplewood drop off this morning was super easy.
