Pottery Barn Bathroom Accessories?

Has anyone used PB accessories in their bathroom? Specifically we are looking at towel bars, towel rings, TP holders and hooks. Their price point is excellent but I was wondering about quality. Any comments- positive or negative- are appreciated.

Did two baths recently and we looked at PB for that sort of stuff for the half bath and found the quality really wanting... joints/welds weren't too smooth, the polished nickel finish was cheapish and didn't have the warmth of a true polished nickel, weight was light, etc. Went instead with more middle of the road stuff from Restoration Hardware and were a lot happier with theirs than PB. OTOH we went with better hardware on the full bath, and those differences vs RH became rather noticeable, so it's all about what you're willing to tolerate and spend. If it's just a toss up question costwise for PB vs something else, I'd opt for RH and wait for one of their 20% sales.

ctrzaska- thanks. your input is really helpful. We are working w a designer and her prices were more in line with RH but for higher quality stuff. I thought the prices seemed high (for a guest bathroom) but def do NOT want poor quality. Based on your experience, I think her stuff for RH prices is worth it.

If anyone else wants to chime in, I'm happy to listen!

Take a look at Lawrence Kantor on Scotland road in East Orange. They have catalog of every medium and high end bath hardware store out there. Any good designer should shave an account with them. If not, they are in the 3/3.5% tax zone. We've equipped several baths through them and have never been disappointed.

We got the light fixtures for above the mirrors and I love them. They happened to be on clearance so I got them dirty cheap too. grin

They don't see a lot of activity like other things that get "used" but they're held up well and look great.

I have some Ginger pieces in our bathroom.....mirror and sconces. Ten years ago or so. They still look like new and I like them as much as I did when we installed them. Didn't get them at PB. At the time, the comparable stuff at PB was definitely of lesser quality.

I got my bathroom remodeling done just a year back and all the accessories were purchased from Better living, http://www.dispenser.com/ who has got a wide variety to choose from and, they can help you in choosing the right caddies for your toilet. Prices are not too costly, it is just reasonable and will be affordable by you but the thing is that quality varies according to the price so if you go in for a low priced product, quality might not be upto the mark. Hence, it will be better if you go in for a medium ranged product so that it stays durable.

I have heard that better living has many collections of toilet caddies that ranges from $20-$80. They also have a large collection of bathroom and shower accessories. It is great to have them in the bathroom it keeps the bathroom well organized and clean.

Kantor is excellent. I live in a house with a lot of RH fixtures and am having to replace them. But I realize the line has changed a lot over 15 years. If it is something you touch every day, make sure you like it.
