Photos --- I'm Back (Thanks, Jamie)

My goodness, those pictures!

Couldn't you get your old username back?

the colour quality is like looking at water colours: so clear and fine! Just lovely, JJ

This, and the ocean/fence were from Cape Cod

Lovely, especially that first bird shot!

Did they ban you for posting too many photos in your previous incarnation? ;-)

First photo is of a Magnolia Warbler

I wasn't banned (unless I was a bad boy and no one told me) I just had trouble making the transition.

Lovely photos. You could print the S.O. photo in B & W and Village Trattoria can hang it in the S.O. restaurant, ha ha!

that streetscape is breathtaking! And I'm seeing it through a grubby iPad screen!

Welcome back!!!

BUT what's up with 'formally'???

Yes. A bit of a tweak and it could be any country town in Australia!

oh oh

The South Orange village photo will be re-done. I am going to take one with summer Sun at about 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. and another in winter at about 4:00 p.m. I was thinking summer at noon but I doubt that will help.

The avenue is in the wrong position. Instead of wasting money moving the avenue by the curves, the avenue should have been repositioned to where the church would be about 40 degrees more north. Then I could get some good pictures.

Thanks. I am getting better as I am learning about the camera, the lens and the birds.

Studying a bird for a few hours, gives forewarning when to look for it to take flight. Then there is the Sun.

In a few more years, I might be able to offer some extraordinary bird photos. For the time being, I enjoy the challenge.

I have seen several former posters come on the new MOL with slight changes to their customary names. I am guessing it means they were not ever able to log on in their previous incarnations and had to open new accounts.

Osprey chick, about 1 month old.

One more, across the street from the last one.

I forgot this one. One of my favorite birds. All male Redwing Blackbirds have the full range of wing bar color and they can choose to display a small, yellow bar or the full range of color as in this photo.
