We held a b'day party for our son last February at Giorgio's in S.O. We rented the dining area and they set up tables/chairs and cleared a large dance space. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. They were so easy to deal with.
We have also rented the top part of Above for family events and have been very pleased.
For both parties we used their food and hired our own DJ. At the Giorgio's party, there was about 60+ teens and adults and for the Above parties about 40-60 people.
You might also think about places like the Elks or Knights of Columbus...or even some churches have halls available
The Maplewood Club. You would need a caterer.

I'm looking for a party space/restaurant for baby's 1st birthday... There will likely be about 60 adults, 20-25 kids, ages ranging from a few months to pre-teens. I would VERY much prefer to do it at home, but we have no way to accommodate that many people in the middle of winter, and we apparently "have" to invite the whole extended family, because we did it for our older kids. Sigh. I figure we'll need catering (in-house or we can bring it in), space for the little ones to run around, and an area for a magician/musician/etc. Any recommendations?
