One trap needed.

There is a mostly black cat that we have been feeding outside for some years. But now there are two (at least) cats that are grey stripped and appear young. We are fine feeding them now but would like to investigate something better for them. Either capture for adoption if they seem adoptable or TNR if not and we will continue to feed. We have two cats in our house so we can not take any more inside. We are in Short Hills. We are filling to help finance TNR. Please send me a message with contact info. Thanks.

People for Animals will provide traps for a small deposit. Deposit is refunded when you bring the animals for spay/neuter.

For pet cats: Spay/neuter, pre-surgical exam, green tattoo, pain medication at the time of surgery, Elizabethan collar, take-home pain medication, & medical waste fees. Cost = $100.

The price for feral cats is less (their website says to call). I think it's around $75 and includes a rabies shot and ear tip in addition to some of the other stuff cited above. Now is a good time to do it before it warms up and mating season begins.  That said, male cats will need at least a day to recover and females a few more before they should be released. Coming out of anesthesia, they won't be able to regulate their temperature right away plus the female belly is shaved for surgery. Personally, I would keep the male(s) in one crate and the female(s) in another so as to be able to release the male(s) earlier. A crate covered by a blanket and situated in a lesser used room is perfect.

If you need a crate or two, let me know.

We may need one additional trap for Friday.  St Huberts gave us two.  Someone else is bringing us one but we were hoping for 4. Cats are mating so we really need to get this done.

St Huberts has Fix em Friday and we have an appointment Friday for 4.

Excellent!  Thank you for helping these feral cats.

Good news and good luck.

Cat trapping day. Only got three.

Three out of four is really impressive!  Hope all goes well.

Keep up the good work. I love our neighborhood cats, but we don't need any more than we have already!

Actually it is probably 3 of 6. But we could not handle transporting more than four so that was the number of traps we got and the number we were hoping to get

That is extremely good work, and the neighborhood will benefit. Well done.

They are all back and recovering in the trap in our  garage.

Boys or girls?

2 girls and a boy. Just as we figured.
