Newark or East Orange DMV?

Have to transfer my NY driver's license to NJ tomorrow. Which DMV office is better--East Orange or Newark? Thanks

I like the Springfield office. Never been to Newark or East Orange offices.

Springfield far better than either Newark or East Orange.  But Monday is the busiest day, it'll be jammed!

Another vote for the Springfield Office.  I have noticed that they are somewhat less jammed now that they have extended their hours and begun accepting some renewals by mail.  That said, a Monday at the start of the month could be an especially busy time for them and for any of the other DMV offices in the area.

I believe Springfield has a half staff on Monday to accommodate night and Saturday hours.

I was once told that 6 PM on whatever night it is open late is a good option. 

Definitely Springfield.  EO and Newark are both terrible.  

East Orange is just fine. Use it whenever I have to. No problem using this address at all.

I had a very good experience at East Orange about a year ago. I'll go back when I have to.

I use Springfield or Randolph. Springfield is always relatively fast and I have never had a wait for anything in Randolph. 

Another +1 for Springfield. Vastly improved from the old days, when that place used to be chaos.

Newark is good for inspections but I've never tried anything else there.

Springfield during off hours for license renewal, etc. - IOW, everything else.

We actually ended up going to the office in Ringoes. My wife didn't have an original copy of her NJ birth certificate, so we had to go to her parent's house in Pennington to get it. They both recommended the nearby Ringoes office--and it was wonderful. No wait, and the nicest people.

Ringoes is like another NJ. Nice area.

I forgot about the E.O. office; my Mom used it all the time. Great service, no problems. 

Ringoes is fantastic, pretty much in and out. However, my other home is out there, I wouldn't make a special trip for it.

When in Maplewood, I use the Springfield office.
